I decided to go on the low GI and found that this cereal was low gi and high in fiber. I get 50% of my fiber from one bowl of this and don't have to worry about the usual added (or hidden) sugar or sweeteners that is in many other cereals that say they are healthy like fiber one. Also, this tastes very good!

I love Uncle Sam cereal, but I ordered it on July 16, 2006 and it is now September 5, 2006 and it hasn't shipped yet. It can be a bit misleading because supposedly it is in stock. You've really got to plan ahead when ordering this item.

This cereal has helped me lose 75 pounds this past year.I eat it as my afternoon snack.It is super healthy,tons of fiber,healthy and good for you and keeps the hunger at bay.I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a healthy cereal,very low sugar,and who wants good fiber and good taste!

This is by far my favorite breakfast cereal on the market. I was introduced to it about 20 years ago when my doctor recommended it to me as part of a program to lose weight and get my blood pressure down. But beyond the fact that it's very healthful (no sugar, lots of fiber), it's very tasty. The toasted flax seeds (which I'd never tasted before) give the cereal a very nice nutty flavor. It may take you a few bowls to cultivate the taste - and I'd encourage you to resist the temptation to add sugar - because Uncle Sam is not like other cereals. By volume, I'm satisfied with about half as much as a "normal" cereal. In a word, Uncle Sam cereal is wonderful!

I purchased a box from wal-mart, not really paying too much attention to the nutritional facts at first. After my first bowl (with strawberries on top), I was hooked. I looked at what was actually in the stuff, and it was INCREDIBLY healthy, especially in a time where most cereals are loaded with synthetic ingredients and tons of sugar.
A+, Recommend, would buy and eat again...and again...and again.
